The challenge of knocking down Olympiacos Piraeus for the first time in La Fonteta
Valencia Basket faces
Olympiacos Piraeus on Thursday, February 8 at 8:30 p.m. (tickets available from
35 euros) in the last game of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague before the break
in the competition for the national cups and FIBA windows. Álex Mumbrú's men
face the challenge of adding a win that would keep them in the play-in
positions against the only team that has visited La Fonteta in all the taronja
team's participation in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague (this week game will be
the eighth time that the Greek team plays an official game in the taronja fiefdom). And at
the moment it is their particular bête noire, since the red and white team is
the only one of the participants in the current edition of the highest
continental competition that Valencia Basket has never been able to beat at La Fonteta in an
official European tournament game.
